Recunoscānd talentul deosebit al unui tānăr sculptor romān, un mare sculptor francez i-a propus acestuia să lucreze īn atelierul său. Deşi onorat de această ofertă, sculptorul romān refuză spunānd : "La umbra marilor stejari nu poate creşte iarba". Cine era tānărul sculptor romān şi cine era maestrul francez ?

Sculptorul romān era Constantin Brāncuşi (1876-1957), iar maestrul francez Auguste Rodin (1840-1917).
